Viking Motel-Ventura

The manager was very helpful & made me feel very welcome. I loved having a kitchen. I was also impressed that there was an new iron and full ironing board in the room!

In general, it is a good motel, the price and location are good. However, we asked for a non-smoking room, but apparently sb. had smoked in the room.

Unexpected comforts in simplicity

The room was clean and spacious with a cozy atmosphere. The manager was helpful. Loved the charming character of the place.

The kitchen utensils were a bit worn out and mismatched. It reminded me of they could use a refresh in that area to elevate the cooking experience.

The only think wrong with this hotel is a lack of cleanliness. It had the level of cleanliness you would expect when you stop by a friends house unannounced.

The manager stayed till midnight to wait for our late check-in. He also allowed us to check out later than 11am. The kitchen is very convenient for a family.

No coffee in unit.

Located 2 city blocks from a great grocery store and a latin meat market across the street. 1Mile walk to beach with concrete sidewalks, ending at a small restraunt, and a very long sand beach.

Unclean Dishes, with molded food. The cutting board was dirty as well as the cabinet faces. Unhealthful condition. Inadequate Parking. Owner Vehicles and Operations Vehicles parking with Visitors in a very small area. Mgmt. asked us to move our car twice, the third resulted in us leaving the hotel one night early, and a heated conversation when I said I wanted to leave. A childhood stay in the 1960's prompted a return visit, however, I will never stay in the Hotel with the current Ownership.

It was very easy to find, very clean & the staff was very courteous when dealing with me.

We stayed here 5 nights because we were waiting to move into an apartment, it was such a great place to stay. The employees are super nice and always wanting to get you anything you need. The room was wonderful, we walked in and there was a very nice huuuge dresser, a closet, and a hallway to the bathroom, there was a small fridge, microwave and coffeemaker,(bring your own filters and coffee), night stands on both sides of bed, we got the king size bed and it was soooo comfortable, we were planning on trying this place out one night then finding something else but it was so nice of a stay we just booked it for 5 , the manager even gave us a discount, oh and the tv is a flatscreen with every channel, it even has a dvr to record ur shows. This was a really great hotel, nicest one I have been to for that kind of price. You will enjoy your stay!!!

This is an older motel , it had clean sheets which was a bonus but this motel is old and in need of a complete makeover.

Vey good value for money, room was big with a big tv screen, the fridge in the kitchen was big too, nice staff

Hotel's staff was really wonderful and welcoming all the time. The venue room was updated and neat with kitchen, new appliances and fridge.

The staff - some of them were nasty.

Its location is favourable just next door to santa barbara or malibu and the beaches and Close to ocean. There's good choice of restaurants to choose from, like Squashed Grapes, set within 15 minutes walk or so, loved this place😀👌

The family studio with kitchen was spacious and comfortable, and we loved the large refrigerator. The staff were so friendly and helpful whenever we needed anything. It was close to the beach.
